May 28- All school magic show-"Stupendous Mr. Magichead" Excellent- enjoyed by all!
June- 1- Tuition Due- Most families have paid already-check with the office!
June- 1- Tuition Due- Payments in full are due for the 2010 - 2011
June- 2- School Picnic- Menotomy Rocks Park
June 3- Storyteller- Lucille LaPage- All classes will attend
June 9-10- End of year parties in classrooms and all school get-together (vestry) on Wednesday and
Thursday
June 11- All school “Flag Day” parade- Cathy Gannon leading the parade with her big base drum!
June 11- Last day of school-no lunch bunch
TUITION FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2010 - 2011
Returning children and new families to Sunshine should have paid June’s tuition for the year 2011 by May
15th. A family paying in full, the payment is due June 1st with a 2% discount. Thank you so very much!
ALL SCHOOL JUNE ACTIVITIES
During the next two weeks, we will be doing many all school activities. Look for notices.
SCHOOL PICNIC:
When: Wednesday, June 3nd (rain date-June 9th)
Where: Menotomy Rocks Playground
Time: 12:00 – 2:00 PM.
Bring your lunch, blankets, chairs and dessert to share to the Jason Street park. Please toilet your
children before going to the park. There are no toileting facilities at Menotomy Rocks Park.
TEACHER APPRECIATION DINNER:
The staff would all like to thank everyone for our delicious dinner we enjoyed at the Dandilion Green in
Burlington. The "Parent Chairperson" provided mini breakfasts all week and everything was delicious.
Thanks again for your thoughtfulness.
SUNSCREEN:
Please put sunscreen on your children before they come to school. We spend more time outside during this
nice weather. Thanks!
THANK YOU:
Thank you to all the parent chairpersons who helped put the “Fair Baskets” together and helping with other
school activities. Thanks to all that helped in any capacity throughout the year with fund raisers, support,
and kindness and sharing your wonderful children with us.
“SILENT AUCTION”
Thanks for the donations and the bids for the “Silent Auction”. It was terrific and not a lot of work plus
a good profit. We will put the extra money toward enrichment; i.e.- creative movement, nature
presentations, etc.
APPLICATIONS FOR THE 2010 – 2011 SCHOOL YEAR:
If you have a toddler who will be three by December 31, 2010, get an application now so you are guaranteed
a space. Tell your friends that we are accepting applications now for 2010-2011.
THANKS:
Thanks for leaving crocs at home. Sneakers and shoes are safer.
ITEMS TO SAVE OVER THE SUMMER:
Yogurt containers
Meat trays
Small plastic applesauce
Small coffee cans with lids
Glass baby food jars with lids
Plastic baby food containers with lids
REMINDER:
Please continue during the summer to purchase wine and beer at Mentomy Beer & Wine on Broadway, where
we had our “Wine-tasting Party” last year. When buying items, just mention you are from Sunshine Nursery
School. We receiver 5% from every purchase. Thanks for frequenting the store and mentioning the school.
